LAMPa Program Director Lynn Fry will conclude her service with LAMPa in January 2021. She has served in the position for three years. Early in the New Year she will transition to a new position at United Lutheran Seminary (ULS), serving as the Coordinator of Stewardship and Donor Relations.
Reflecting on her LAMPa tenure Lynn states, “I am thankful for the many opportunities I have been afforded and the many dedicated social justice colleagues and volunteers I have had the privilege to serve with over the past three years. This experience has been a very positive chapter in my life. Thank you especially to Tracey, my ELCA Advocacy colleagues and our LAMPa Policy Council for your support and for sharing so much of your own knowledge and experience. I have learned a great deal!”
“Lynn has been a true gift to LAMPa’s ministry,” said Director Tracey DePasquale. “She played a key role in so much of the work, particularly in health care, housing and immigration. We will miss her terribly, but are happy that she will be making good use of her gifts with our partners at ULS. I look forward to our continued collaboration and partnership in ministry!”
Fry said she will continue to promote LAMPa and advocacy efforts as she “strives for justice and peace in all the earth.”
Thank you for your service, Lynn! LAMPa has been fortunate to have you. Excited to hear of your new opportunity, although we’ll definitely miss you in the policy network. Peace & blessings ~
Amen to Tracey and Peter! You have been a gift and inspiration to us all. Godspeed at the seminary as you labor in the vineyard of an immigrant from California and a Dodger fan (who spoke at my retirement two years ago). So grateful that you will be working with those who are called to till, plant, tend, and harvest in Jesus’ name.
