The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and the Lutheran Advocacy Ministry in Pennsylvania (LAMPa) is pleased to announce the appointment of Tracey DePasquale as its new director.   DePasquale has served as interim director since December, following the promotion of the Rev. Amy Reumann to a post in Washington, D.C.

LAMPa Policy Council Chair, The Rev. Scott E. Schul welcomed Tracey to the new role saying, “Tracey has a heart for justice and a passion for advocacy. I am so excited that she will be serving LAMPa as Executive Director and leading us forward as we equip and encourage Lutherans across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to take their faith into the public square in service to the common good.”

“I am thrilled that Tracey DePasquale has been called to lead LAMPa’s ministry into its next chapter,” said the Rev. Amy Reumann, ELCA Director of Advocacy in Washington, D.C.  “Her deep personal faith, her concern for God’s world, her rootedness in the church’s mission and facility in public policy make her an ideal choice for this position. I look forward to seeing where LAMPa goes from here.”

Mrs. DePasquale added, “I am both humbled and excited to be called to serve as LAMPa’s director.  Serving for three years as associate director with the Rev. Amy Reumann and our wonderfully gifted and faithful policy council, bishops and passionate advocates in Pennsylvania has been a joy.  I have been truly grateful for the support, encouragement and prayers of not only our Pennsylvania advocacy network, but also partners in ministry throughout the ELCA during this interim period. I covet their continued prayers for LAMPa and its mission as the Holy Spirit calls us forward as church together for the sake of the world.”
